Pole-dry bean ‘Stokkievitsboon’ is a strong crop with beans that look like lapwing eggs. Both the pods and seeds are beautifully speckled red. The pod skin is parchment-like, so only consume the seeds.
When cooked, the seed coat is thin and soft. Cultivation as pole beans, 3 to 4 beans per stick. 75 grams for 25 sticks. The pods can be picked at the end of September - beginning of October. After a few weeks of drying, the seeds can be threshed or shelled.
